"I've seen various developmental prototypes of XG over the past several years and have sometimes been an advisor for both playing strength and user interface (UI). I can now state that XG is stronger than its competitors on
equivalent settings as well as at least several times faster on those settings.
No bot currently comes close to achieving the playing strength
vs. speed ratio that XG does. This is extremely important for me, since it allows me to more efficiently use my study time as I can get match analyses and rollouts done quicker and at high levels of strength. This means that XG is a must have tool for any serious BG student. Of course XG does rollouts and long lookaheads according to match score, noting that this is a must for the tournament player.
The developer continues to work on enhancing the UI while striving to make use of every CPU tick to keep XG blazing fast. XG now has multicore support and parallel rollouts and for those with fast computers, the innovative and new XGR+ is a great tool, both for quick analysis and as a superstrong opponent that moves at humanlike speeds.
Many players are interested in keeping statistics and XG also excels in that arena as well. The UI also has a simple mode and is quite easy for casual students to use.
I am certain that by studying with XG, players of all levels from raw beginner to world champion will improve both their checker play and cube actions just as I continue to do by studying with XG."
